The Guldbæk Path starts in the heart of Øster Hornum. The path follows old road tracks and property boundaries in an agricultural area that has over time transformed from small land plots to large, regular fields. The area is designated as suitable for raw material extraction, as there is sand and gravel under the fields. The region between Øster Hornum and Guldbæk was predominantly heath until around 1900. Until 1940, the area was put under plow, and it has since been cultivated with traditional agricultural crops. The Guldbæk Path passes by the Øster Hornum Waterworks. From Gl. Viborgvej, there is a beautiful view towards the hills and forests east of Guldbæk.
