Green route - Rævebjerg trip

The Rævebjerg hike goes from the parking lot at Vindekilde Strandvej to Rævebjerg and back again through some of the finest heathland in Denmark. In addition to the fantastic view over the hills and out to sea, you can see the shelf cuckoo flower blooming in May and June.

Many painters have painted here. From the Golden Age painters J.Th. Lundbye and P.C. Skovgaard to the Odsherred painters Karl Bovin and Kaj Ejstrup, among others. Even today, the hills attract artists.

Be considerate

You will be walking on private land in some areas and must respect that the owner may, in certain cases, close the path. In the Tour brochure, you can see what is private and what is public land.

Be considerate of other people's property.

On privately owned land and paths, access is only allowed from 6 AM until sunset, and riding is not permitted. Read more about Rules for access to nature

In public areas, you are allowed to walk inside the livestock enclosures. But leave the animals alone and remember to close the gates behind you.

Fishing is allowed on the coast if you have a fishing license.

Dogs must be kept on a leash. During the winter months from October 1 to March 31, your dog may roam free on the beach if you have full control of it.

Please take your trash home with you.
