The Vandakse Coastal Route starts at the café by Vitskøl Monastery and is just under 3 km long.
The route goes through the monastery garden and the courtyard in front of the monastery before continuing into a fenced area where grazing animals can occasionally be seen along the Limfjord.
On the stretch of beach from Bjørnsholm Å to the entrance of the forest, you can enjoy the beautiful view over the Limfjord, where Livø, Fur, and Ertebølle can be seen on the horizon.
The last stretch goes through a pine forest along field roads.
The coastal route can be combined with the forest route, making the trip a bit longer.
