The Halsninoen begins in Hundested and ends in Strø Bjerge - or vice versa. The walker encounters a very large variation in nature and landscape: coasts, cliffs, sea plains, forests, moraine hills, craters, and bodies of water.
There are accommodation options in many places, and the route can be nicely combined with bus and train, either at each end station or if the route is used in sections.
The route is marked and consists of 72.5% sand, soil, gravel, and grass areas - 27.5% is asphalt or sidewalk.
