The Forest Path in Høng. Red route 7.5 km.

The red route is called the Forest Path because a significant part of the journey goes through Høng Forest to the west of the town. Høng Forest offers great opportunities for nature experiences.

However, on the way to and from the forest, we encounter several notable locations in Høng. This includes the Løve Herred's Court and Jail, which was built in 1838 by the town’s pond. Also by the pond, there is a stone bench erected in memory of Sophus Berthelsen.

We pass Høng Efterskole, which is housed in the old Høng Folkehøjskole buildings. On the way back, we pass the Minicross track and Høng Heating Plant, as well as the station square, where several characteristic buildings from the station town's early days have been preserved. This includes the station building itself (now private residence and dental clinic), a post office (now private residence), a grocery store (now private residence), and a railway hotel (now a gymnasium).
