The path takes you around Dybdal forest, which consists of a distinct V-shaped meltwater valley formed during the last ice age. At the bottom of the valley, the terrain is highly undulating and everywhere marked by the limestone extraction that has occurred over time. This particularly applies to the underground mine tunnels (shafts), Dagbjerg limestone mine, where access and guided tours are available.
Prices and opening hours can be found here.
The forest has a rich animal and plant life, including several rare species of ferns, mosses, and bats.
