The path runs through some heath and marsh areas along the Karup River south of Høgild Bridge. On the way, you pass old, gnarled oak forests atop the river's high banks and cross some well-preserved medieval fields. In several places by the river, you can see remnants of old irrigation channels that have been used for watering hay meadows along the river.
The path goes through the enclosures, and dogs must be kept on a leash for the sake of the animals.
