The trail at Albæk Møllebæk is located about 6 km northeast of Randers near the village of Harridslev. The yellow route is about 2½ km long, and the red route is about 3½ km. The trails run through the moraine landscape southeast of Harridslev - a landscape formed by the last ice age. The gorge that Møllebækken runs through is a meltwater canyon, formed at the end of the ice age, where other meltwater streams have been blocked by remaining ice masses, resulting in a strong current perpendicular to Randers fjord. Scattered vegetation with trees, open areas, wild plants, grass, and agricultural crops is optimal for wildlife such as hares, pheasants, foxes, deer, birds of prey such as buzzards and kestrels, a wide range of small birds, as well as migrating waders and ducks.
