The Ramsø Trail runs through Ramsø Valley, which is a landscape of grazed meadows, marshes, and lakes. A large part of the area is protected and also an EU bird protection area. From Gadstrup to Ramsømagle and from Ramsø Søgård to Ringstedvej at Øm, there is a marked hiking route of approximately 6 km. There are 2 bird towers along the route. Access is also available from Gøderup and from Kirke Syv. The route runs on both privately and publicly owned land, primarily on land owned by Copenhagen Energy. The passage is on grass or bark mulch. In several places, stiles and a single staircase are encountered, so strollers and wheelchairs cannot make it all the way through.
