Udby Forest is a new forest that was planted between 1997 and 2004. Both children and adults from the local area have participated in planting the forest. The primary purpose of the forest is to create a green and recreational area close to the city. The path is firm and smooth, which provides good opportunities for people in wheelchairs, with mobility difficulties, or with a stroller to navigate around the forest.
The route starts at the parking lot by Mosehældgård, where there is also a shelter, fire pit, picnic tables, and a multi-toilet located on an open grassy area.
The Heart Path in Udby Forest is connected to the Heart Path in Stege Forest. Together, the two routes total 5.2 km in length, and there are good opportunities to shorten or extend the trip by using the many other paths in the forest.
