By allowing monasteries and churches to determine the route and destination, the Monastery Route project opens up a special opportunity to revive an old tradition of pilgrimages, but reformed into meditative walks on modern terms and according to the needs of contemporary people.

The Monastery Route is based on the main idea that the inner journey should not take place in a vacuum or be created by one's own inner consciousness. The inner journey presupposes an outer journey with a clear content. On the outer journey along the Monastery Route, you encounter the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Christian church.
