Thorsø Enge

Take a walk in Thorsø Enge Thorsø Enge is a cohesive network of trails in Thorsø, which passes by several lakes (by Thorsø Mill), marshes, and meadows in the valley area around Thorsø Stream. Part of the area is grazed by horses to keep the natural areas open, but there are gates in the fence that allow passage. The trail system is designed as a walking path in many places.

In Thorsø Enge, many different flowering plants grow, which are typical for the moist marsh and meadow areas. In the central part, you can find the beautiful plants yellow loosestrife, creeping jenny, and great burnet, and there are several species of sedge: great sedge, yellow sedge, tufted sedge, twiggy sedge, and blue-green sedge. Not all parts of the area are grazed equally, and some areas feature tall herbs such as common meadowsweet, tall fescue, bulrush, and reed grass.

There are several entrances to the trail system, including via Skelvej in the western part of Thorsø and at Rosenparken in the central part. There are also information boards in the area.
