The ancient trail is suitable for cycling.

The forest is full of ancient monuments. During your journey through the forest, you will not only have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful nature of Tokkekøb Hegn, but also pass several well-preserved ancient trails, burial mounds, and dolmens from the Neolithic era. Ancient trails and burial sites are closely located in the landscape and testify to the significance of the area for our ancestors. These ancient monuments are marked on the map along with a suggested circular route. The trip is described from the south starting at point 78. You can park at Blovstrød Station's parking lot and walk/cycle along the path between the station and Lindehøjgård (KRAK 85 K2). Another good starting point is the easternmost of the parking spaces on Stumpedyssevej in the middle of Tokkekøb Hegn. The paths are bike-friendly. Here on the sides, you can read a brief description of the most important ancient monuments - prepared in collaboration with archaeology students at the University of Copenhagen. At eight selected points along the route, you will find information poles with a phone number that you can call to hear more about the fascinating ancient monuments.
