The tour around Denmark's largest, clear-watered lake goes through ancient beech forest with views of the lake. The route is marked with blue triangles.
Starting point: There is free parking without time limits east of the lake at Madum Søvej, 9520 Skørping and west of the lake at Aspvej, 9520 Skørping. With public transport, Skørping Station is the nearest connection. Check www.rejseplanen.dk.
Experiences: Madum Lake round is a peaceful forest hiking route with several views of Madum Lake along the way. At the starting point, there is a rest area with beautiful views over the lake and the possibility for swimming. The water in Madum Lake is so clear that even the most light-demanding aquatic plants thrive here.
Signage: Madum Lake round is marked with blue triangles both clockwise and counterclockwise.
