Maglesøstien

The path around Maglesø has been partially established in connection with the Sophienholm Conservation and consists of a well over 2 km long recreational trail around Maglesø, as well as access to the path from the parking lot at Maglesøvej. The path is a recreational trail with a soil/gravel surface for most of the route. The southwestern part of the route goes through a wet area - here the path consists of a causeway with hen netting on top. From the parking lot at Maglesøvej, there are two access routes - a steep staircase that leads directly down to the lake across the contour lines, and a recreational trail with a slightly less steep course that goes past the inn. Along the way, the path crosses a stream via a small bridge.

The tour around Maglesø is varied and offers experiences ranging from stretches through relatively open land and self-seeded thickets on the north side of the lake to stretches with the causeway through a very wet and otherwise quite inaccessible area, to stretches through closed high forest along the south side of the lake. Along the way, one can enjoy the view both from the top of the hill at Maglesø over the lake, but also from the lake and over the water surface, as well as there being several places where it is possible to swim. From the Maglesø path, there is also a connection to several trail loops (the Panoramic Trail, trail loops to Grøntved Lake and Grøntved Overdrev) as well as a regional trail connection to surrounding attractions such as Brorfelde.
