Skårup - Illerup Valley Route

The "Skårup-Illerup Ådal Route" connects the villages of Skårup and Illerup Ådal. The marked route goes through the open landscape and Anebjerg Forest. The route is marked with red pictograms.

On the journey, there are very fine views of the landscape and Skanderborg Lake.

Along the path, there are signs with information about groundwater protection, the forest's trees, and climate initiatives.

In several places along the route, there are benches, picnic houses, or other facilities.

At the edge of Anebjerg Forest, close to Fælleden, a larger area with insect hotels and other child-friendly climate initiatives has been established.

At Fælleden, the route passes the Skanderborg Trail Center, several MTB trails, and a large MTB skills course. There are also several playgrounds for children of different ages.

The "Skårup - Illerup Ådal Route" is approximately 6 km long and is marked with red pictograms.

If you use "The Trail at Vestermølle" as a connecting path, it is possible to create a round trip together with "Vestermølle Path" starting and ending at either Fælleden or Vestermølle. A complete round trip via "Vestermølle Path", "The Trail at Vestermølle", and "Skårup - Illerup Ådal Route" is about 12-13 km long.

It is possible to park at either Fælleden or Vestermølle - both places have access to drinking water and toilet facilities.
