Knife Hold Path

The Knivholt Trail connects the old manor house forest at Knivholt with the more untouched nature in Teglværksskoven. The area around Knivholt forest is a popular destination due to its location close to Frederikshavn and the good facilities at the main estate. Here you'll find shelters, picnic areas, fire pits, etc. There are great opportunities to experience bats, wood pigeons, and deer. In Knivholt Forest, there is also a Heart Trail, which makes it accessible for most people. Teglværksskoven is allowed to grow as it pleases. It is a natural forest, and you will mainly find alder swamps, oak, ash, and beech. Teglværksskoven requires rubber boots during wet periods, as it can be wet and swampy. There are trails on part of the route, and in the summer, cows graze in the enclosure.
