Katsig Bakker lies on the border between Frederikshavn and Hjørring municipality. The area offers many types of nature and cultural heritage. The landscape is characterized by large terrain variations and is known as a good place to gather, among other things, blueberries, lingonberries, and juniper berries. The hilly landscape and varied nature create a beautiful setting for hiking. On the blue route, you are in the western part of the forest, and you rise over the elevation of 92 m above sea level, with a view over part of Vendsyssel. In Katsig Bakker, you can find old hollow ways and traces of humans through thousands of years. It is a path in a hilly landscape.
