The beautiful Borup Hede, through which the route passes, lies down by the winding Simested Å and constitutes a central part of the 450 ha large conservation area of Simested Ådal. The route leads to the 27 m high viewpoint Brakbjerg, from which there is a magnificent view over most of the valley.
In addition to the hiking route, it is possible to drive through the area from the municipal road between Ulbjerg and Møldrup in the north to the municipal road from Låstrup towards Nr. Borup in the south.
