Bøgested delivery route

The route starts from the parking lot at Bøgested Rende and offers a great variety of natural experiences, as you can both experience dense twisted mountain pine thickets, which give a jungle-like feeling on your trip. Likewise, in some sections you can walk under the crowns of the majestic noble fir and the bluish Sitka spruce. Fun and useful knowledge about the different lichens and mosses on the tree trunks is that they can be used as indicators in relation to the cardinal points – the northern side of the tree's trunk always has the most growth of lichens and mosses, which can be seen in orange colors and similar. The trip also gives you the opportunity to walk along the stream called Bøgested Rende. The name does not come from the few beech trees in the forest, but actually means the building place by the ditch, as there used to be a watermill with houses in the area. Close to the parking lot, where the old mill used to be, you can enjoy your lunch at the installed picnic tables.
