Red route - Kårup Forest

Kårup Skov is a young forest that was planted during and after World War II. It originally consisted mostly of Scots pine and Austrian pine. Today, it is more of a natural forest with both pines, oaks, beeches, birches, hazels, and occasionally open areas with individual trees and plenty of moss on the forest floor. Although the route follows paths and forest roads, it is not suitable for wheelchair users. You can begin the walk at the parking lot at Åsvej or from the parking lot at Vindekilde Strandvej.

You will be walking on private land in some places and must respect that the owner may close the path in certain cases. In the Guide, you can see what is private and what is public area.

Be considerate of others' property.

On privately owned lands and paths, access is only allowed from 6 AM to sunset, and riding is not permitted. Read more about Rules for accessing nature

In public areas, you are allowed to walk inside the livestock enclosures. But leave the animals alone and remember to close the gates behind you.

Fishing is allowed on the coast if you have a fishing license.

Your dog must be kept on a leash. During the winter months between October 1 and March 31, your dog may run free on the beach if you have full control over it.

Please take your litter home.
