Knudsø North trail

The route connects Tulstrupvej south of Tørring with Lyngvej. The route runs along the edge of Knudsø through a part of the Knudsø conservation area. In several places, there are impressive views over Knudsø and the town of Ry - including from the hill Maskenkol. The trip is marked with white pictograms. The protected area north of Knudsø covers 727 hectares. The area has very steep slopes, and in several places, there are springs in the slopes, which contributes to Knudsø being not only one of the deepest lakes in Denmark but also one of the cleanest lakes. It is an impressive and somewhat demanding trip through a very beautiful landscape and an impressively varied nature. However, the terrain is challenging and is not suitable for those with walking difficulties, wheelchairs, or prams. It is possible to park at a small parking lot by Lyngvej or at the parking lot on Tulstrupvej south of Tørring.
