The Ramsøstien trail runs through Ramsødalen, a landscape with grazed meadows, bogs, and lakes. A large part of the area is protected and is also an EU bird protection area. From Gadstrup to Ramsømagle and from Ramsø Søgård to Ringstedvej at Øm, a marked hiking route extends for about 6 km. There are 2 bird towers along the route. Access is also available from Gøderup and from Kirke Syv. The route runs through both privately and publicly owned areas, primarily on land belonging to Copenhagen Energy. The path is made of grass or wood chips. In several places, stiles and a single staircase are encountered, making it impossible for strollers and wheelchairs to complete the entire route.
