Ålbæk dune plantation - Yellow hiking route

The route starts from the parking lot in the northwestern corner of the plantation near Gårdbovej. The route passes several exciting natural elements in the plantation. In particular, one of the old oak thickets, which is old oak forest from before the sand drift - and Ndr. Stenslette - where the flying sand has been blown down to the old beach ridges. Both places have a special and vulnerable nature content, and no driving, cycling, or horseback riding is allowed in the areas. At Ndr. Stenslette, there is an observation tower, so you can go up and see over the natural areas. Along a long stretch, the route follows the Knasborg stream. At Røde Bro, there is a campfire site and the opportunity for tent accommodation, and it is possible to catch the blue route and extend the trip to double the length. From Røde Bro, the route runs north and west back through the forest.
