Langmosen (7.1 km round trip)

Langmosen has been built up by raised bog mosses over 7,000 years and is one of Denmark's most undisturbed and well-preserved raised bogs. The route is marked with red triangles.

Starting point: There is free parking without time limitations east of the lake at Madum Søvej, 9520 Skørping. The nearest public transport connection is Skørping Station, from where you can take Plustur. See more at www.rejseplanen.dk.

Experiences: Langmosen is one of Denmark's most undisturbed and well-preserved raised bogs. The bog has been built up by raised bog mosses over 7,000 years and has areas with species of heather, cranberries, and cotton grass. Along the way, there is a viewpoint bench with a view over Langmosen, and at the starting point, there is a resting place with a view over Madum Sø. Additionally, there is access to a multi-toilet at the starting point.
