Nature Area Bøtøskoven

You can experience wild Konik horses and Scottish Highland cattle up close. Keep an eye out for the sea eagle, which nests in the area, and look for the rare butterflies Black Apollo and Mirror Butterfly. You will pass through varied landscapes with both forests and open plains on the route. Short stretches of the route take place on wooden paths.

A trip through Bøtøskoven offers many wonderful experiences. Along the hiking route through the forest, there are signs that tell you a bit about some highlights of the route. For example, read about the sheep washing station or the rare butterflies.

Maintain a distance of at least 50 meters from the animals and do not go between them. The animals must not be fed, and always keep your dog on a leash.
