Voldum tour and to the viewpoint

The route is marked with red arrows, and there is an info board by the church in Voldum. It is a short route in the town of Voldum – most of the journey takes place on asphalt roads. The gravel road to the south is the old road to Halling. In Voldum, there is a grocery store, a town park, a free school, and a sports hall. Notably, the beautiful view in the southern part of the route (the turning point) - the section up to the viewpoint rises quite a bit. Voldum Church: Where the current church is located, there has likely been a church since the 1100s. An older smaller church was built of tuff stone, which is a relatively porous material. The church cracked, and it was demolished in the early 1600s. The current church was predominantly built in 1606 and is an impressive manorial church, which has been closely linked to Clausholm Castle. From the original church, only the late Gothic porch and remnants of the masonry in the western part of the nave remain.
