The path is approximately 7 km long and stretches from Gelbrovej in the south to Gudenåen (Åbro) in the north. There are opportunities to park in the village of Enslev, which the path passes right by, and at the layby on Hadbjergvej.
The route is very hilly, and it's a good idea to wear hiking boots. There are beautiful views along the way, particularly just south of Enslev, where you can see quite far.
The path mostly consists of smaller field roads and trails in the open countryside, but it also goes through Toholt forest.
The name of the path likely comes from the fact that the midwife from Langå used the road to get to Hagsholm farm, where there was a large gathering of people. The farm was not far from where the path ends at Gelbrovej.
