Mastrup Søndersti yellow route

Mastrup Ådal south of Nibevej features a beautiful and varied landscape, which can be nicely viewed from the path in front of the residential area Høje Støvring. The greatest experiences, however, await out on the trail, where the path twists and turns up and down in the distinctive valley landscape. The trail takes you through forest, heath, and bog, with fine viewpoints towards the valley's side valleys and the undisturbed Mastrup Bæk. Wildlife changes with the seasons. You can encounter badgers, otters, kingfishers, alpine accentors, and spawning sea trout, among others. The path is made of gravel and marked trails that go through partially fenced areas with horses and sheep. The trail can be muddy in wet weather. The terrain is very hilly, and the route is unsuitable for those with walking difficulties.
