All the routes start from the parking lot, and the wide paths with good, firm surfaces wind in large arcs through the forest, constantly opening up new views, either to stretches of forest and clearings or to the hilly landscape outside the forest. The trail system is probably Denmark's first trail system designed so that hikers and mountain bikers can enjoy the same route without being afraid of colliding. People on foot walk clockwise around, while cyclists ride counterclockwise. In this way, they meet each other, so there is no need to look over one's shoulder to keep an eye on where the cyclists are. In some places, the elevation difference on the paths is 40 meters within a kilometer, so it is quite steep.
