Aage V. Jensen Nature Fund acquired the highly situated area in 2007, and since then more than 80 different plant species have been recorded on the property. The open hillside was threatened by overgrowth with invasive plant species such as giant hogweed, wrinkled rose, and goldenrod.
The local branch of the Danish Society for Nature Conservation in Sorø has taken on the task of caring for the area and, among other things, arranging the necessary vegetation care. DN Sorø has therefore introduced grazing accompanied by fencing and signage, as well as a pathway for the public.
The tour continues down the mountain past the mountain lake back to the parking lot.
