Bøgelundsbakken
From the beginning of 1944 until the end of World War II on May 5, 1945, the Germans used this hill as an observation and lookout post. Therefore, it is also called Tyskerbakken.
Gubbestenen
Both west and east of the Værslev path, there are countless ancient relics. Gubbestenen is a colossal and naturally occurring, free-standing boulder with about 20 larger and many smaller, insignificant, and bowl-shaped depressions.
Store Fuglede Kirke
The high-lying Store Fuglede Church dates back to the late Romanesque period. One of the church's treasures is a crucifixion group from the early 1500s, depicting Christ on the cross with Mary and John on either side.
Tissø
Tissø is, with its 12.3 km2, Denmark's fourth largest lake. The protected and grass-covered meadows around the lake are a wonderful place for bird enthusiasts, as it is one of Zealand's best areas for wading birds. It is believed that the lake was formed during the Ice Age in a dead ice hole and is named after the war god Tir/Tyr. Offerings from the elder Iron Age, Viking Age, and early Middle Ages show that it has been a religious gathering point in the late periods of antiquity.
Fugledegaard
Between the years 550-1050 AD, one of Denmark's richest settlements was located on the west bank of Tissø. The remarkable find from this period is a 1.8 kg gold neck ring. At the western shore of the lake, a chieftain's seat developed, which peaked around the year 1000, where the farm's central hall had no less than 550 m2 under roof, and the courtyard covered more than 20,000 m2. The chieftain's residence was abandoned around 1050, possibly because members of the Hvider family established other estates around Tissø in the 1100s and 1200s, such as Hallenslevlund south of Hallebyåen and Sæbygaard by the southeast lakeshore. At Fugledegaard, the brought food can be eaten, and the place has a number of facilities: an exhibition about the area, a bird watchtower, as well as toilets and water.
