Lightnet path

Lysnet is Denmark's 9th highest point at 131 meters above sea level. There is a marked viewpoint at the top, and from here you can see a beautiful plateau landscape surrounded by valleys. To the south lies, among other things, the Lilleåen, which is part of the Gudenå system. The hill itself is a moraine hill, and there is a possibility to see many different types of clay formed 45-55 million years ago. Previously, clay was extracted here, but the central area is now protected, and the area around the abandoned clay pit is owned by the State.

There is a path around the Lergravsøen, but it is in hilly terrain. First and foremost, Lysnet is known for its orchids (especially the common twayblade but also the meat-colored twayblade), which bloom beautifully violet in May and June. All orchids in Denmark are protected, so you must not pick them.
