Støvringgaard - Yellow Ribbon

It is almost 13 km from Randers C to Støvringgaard Monastery. Public bus no. 238 runs from Randers Bus Terminal to Albæk, Støvring, and Mellerup. See the timetable at www.bus-info.dk. The trail at Støvringgaard starts at the edge of the forest at Smedekøllen opposite Støvringgaard Monastery. There are three routes in the area, marked with blue, yellow, and red arrows. Have a good trip! Sheltered by Sønderskoven, the trail runs along the edge of the forest past the beautiful old monastery buildings and the forest cemetery with breathtaking views of the vast fields and meadows towards the fjord and continues to Lodsstien, where one can take a detour down to the fjord. At the southern edge of the forest, the trail turns right onto the forest road through Østrup Skov, south of Østrup, with the old castle complex to Albæk, offering spectacular views.
