The route goes along the field boundary and up into the protected Hverrestrup Hills, which are situated high above the surrounding landscape with a string of about 40 burial mounds. Among the burial mounds is Bavnehøj, which at 79 m above sea level is the highest point. The area is a mix of heath, grassland, deciduous forest, and meadows. This provides excellent opportunities for you to experience many types of plants. In June-July, you can see the poisonous yellow plant, gold plum, as well as the orchid spotted flycatcher. Similarly, in the area, you can find the insect-eating plant round-leaved sundew and cotton grass, which are found in wet, nutrient-poor, and acidic lakes. The substrate on the route consists of paths and grass.
