The Blue Route, also known as Peter's Memorial Path, follows the Railway Path along the railway to the north towards the Hanehøj area. It is named after the prominent burial mound located northeast of the town. The Hanehøj area was gifted to Skørping Municipality in 1963 by butcher master Pedersen and his wife in memory of their son Peter, who died in a tragic traffic accident. The nature area was donated with the stipulation that it could only be used for recreational purposes. It is a beautiful area with a scout hut, a small lake, and many impressive "purkerbøge." These are beech trees that, unlike other beech trees, can produce root shoots. The path continues towards the southern part of the town, where it passes Skørping Nykirke from 1914.
