The first part of the heart path is paved and goes along a footpath with views of Æbelø and Jutland. Then it goes around the cemetery and the water tower, past the town's beautiful square with the church in the background and the famous Manneken in a small park area.
Along the coast, the route takes you around to the Marina harbor and the beach. Here there are toilets and the Heart Association's fitness facility as well as a lovely playground for children.
The tour continues along the old dyke to the Nature Conservation Association's path, Bogense's green heart. Note: the path is often wet and uneven – so instead, you follow the road around.
