The trip to the Bird of Prey Tower

The Raptor Tower is located in the northern part of Lille Vildmose. A combined gravel and plank path leads visitors from the parking lot on Ny Høstemarkvej past some of the old burial mounds and through a willow thicket to the Raptor Tower. The trip is 1.3 km long (each way).

On the way to the tower, you can experience a rich bird and insect life. If

you are quiet, you might be lucky and encounter moose or deer. Enjoy the animals from

as far a distance as possible. Also, take note of how you can see

traces of the moose gnawing on the willow trees in several places.

Upon arriving at the tower, you will find a table and bench set, where you can enjoy a

packed lunch before heading back. To get a view of the terrain and see

the feeding area for the raptors, you must go up the stairs in the tower. The raptors

are usually fed on Mondays and Thursdays from November to April.
