The route is called the Stokrender route and lies in the eastern part of Skagen Klitplantage. The route starts at the parking lot by the Buried Church, where there are toilets and a kiosk. It passes by Kirkesig, which is a former wetland, and continues over the heath to Stokmile, from where there is a fantastic view of Skagen and over Ålbæk Bay. From Stokmile, it continues over the bridge over Stokrenden to Sdr. Stokrendevej. As soon as you reach Hulsigstien (asphalt bike path), you can make a detour 100 meters to the left to reach the shelter area, where there is a shelter, a fire pit, and drinking water. The route back goes over Postmesterens Bakke and continues to the parking lot where the trip began. The route is marked with yellow.
