Frisdal Route (2.3 km A to B)

The Frisdal Route follows Valsgård Stream, which runs through protected landscapes with deep valleys to Hjerritsdal Mill. The route is marked with green triangles.

Starting point: There is free parking without time limits at Valsgård School, Skolekrogen 2A, 9500 Hobro. The nearest public transport connection is the bus stop Valsgaard/Engbrynet.

Marking: The Frisdal Route is marked with green triangles in both directions. Note the route is 2.3 km from A to B, i.e., 4.6 km in total.

Experiences: The old mill paths pass by the site where Frisdal Castle once stood, and further to Hjerritsdal Mill. The kingfisher and the mountain wagtail are attracted by small animals in the clear waters of Valsgård stream. There are several benches along the Frisdal Route where you can enjoy the views over the protected landscape.

Note: The Frisdal Route goes through enclosures with grazing cattle.
