The Street of the Gods

The Path of the Gods is an approximately 64 km long hiking route through nature and cultural historical landscapes from Vellerup Vig to Mosede Fort. Several places offer good opportunities for small detours and loops. Along the entire route, there are signposts and around 80 storytelling poles with short texts referring to both the uniqueness of nature as well as culture and local history.
Along the route, there are several notable churches and large burial mounds.
There are also remnants from the past's peat and lime extraction that have today developed into natural gems, where bird towers have been set up with fine views.
The Path of the Gods ends at Mosede Fort, which is from 1914. It was this bastion that was meant to make enemies reconsider, so that it would not go as it did in the past when the Wends and the English landed here on Karlslunde Strand unimpeded.
