The hiking route starts at the end of Kåsvej by Sildedrættet. Sildedrættet is a public bathing and recreational area, where herring was caught in the past – hence the name. From here, the path goes up to Sønderhøje, which consists of three large burial mounds from the Bronze Age. From here, there is a wide view over the fjord and the land. The route continues down towards Kås Hovedgård and then to the left along the gravel road back to the parking lot. Note: The route passes a field where grazing animals are present. Please be considerate and keep your distance from the animals.
