The area contains a rich wildlife of animals and birds. On the trip, you may be lucky enough to spot a roe deer - a population of around 40 animals resides in Hedeland. From Hedehusene Station, it is 2 km to the nature trail. The trail begins at the parking lot within the Brandhøj gate on Brandhøjgårdsvej. The 5 km long hiking trail is marked with posts. Strollers and wheelchairs are directed to the gravel paths in the area. In addition to the Nature Trail, Hedeland offers several walking, cycling, riding, and exercise trails, and around there are tables/benches and fire pits set up. The area also includes a golf course, fishing lakes, riding arenas, ski and sledding slopes, a go-kart track, a vintage railway, and a large amphitheater. Hedeland is a 15 km² large nature area.
