The short route on the Nature Fund's property at Højris Mill leads around in a varied landscape at the bottom of the river valley. The trail takes you over meadows, pastures, shrubs, and bogs, and through enclosures with grazing cattle. Sønderup Stream is crossed twice. There are beautiful views, idyllic spots by the river, and a rich plant and animal life. In June, you can see swarms of the large mayflies, the Mayflies, and the beautiful dragonfly Blå Label is common here. So is the otter, and in recent years, the shy beavers have found their way to Sønderup Stream both here and further upstream. There are good chances of seeing trees that the beavers have felled. The surface of the path is asphalt road, gravel road, and footpath, which can be muddy in wet weather.
