Delete the route

The route can either begin from the parking lot at Hjortedal Church or the Slette Å rest area. You can also access the route from Slettestrand along the chalk road. On your trip, you have the pleasure of walking through the lushest and most diverse part of the dune plantation, as for a long stretch of the route you follow the highly winding Slette Å. At the same time, during your trip, you will also pass by Karusseengen, where you can experience abundant insect life and may be lucky enough to see cranes. On sections of the hiking route, you follow some of the main gravel roads, but otherwise, you walk along small and cozy forest paths. If you have the desire and time, you can extend the route by the forest garden, where there is a small loop of 930 m in total, marked with yellow arrows. In the forest garden, you can either see horses or cattle, which help keep the area bright and open.
