The trail at Albæk Møllebæk is located approximately 6 km northeast of Randers by the village of Harridslev. The yellow route is about 2½ km long, and the red route is about 3½ km. The trails pass through the moraine landscape southeast of Harridslev - a landscape formed by the last ice age. The valley in which Møllebæk runs is a meltwater gorge, formed at the end of the ice age, where other meltwater streams have been blocked by leftover ice masses, creating a strong current perpendicular to Randers Fjord. Scattered vegetation with trees, open spaces, wild plants, grass, and crops is optimal for wildlife such as hare, pheasant, fox, roe deer, raptors like buzzards and kestrels, a wide range of small birds, as well as migratory waders and ducks.
