Tornby Klitplantage - Green route

The green route connects the northern part of the plantation with the middle part - or blue route with yellow route.

Find the green route by entering either the blue route (starting from Strandvejen) or the yellow route (starting from Horsebækken P or the end of Rævskærvej) until you find the green marking. You can walk the route both ways.

The route runs partly on a small dune path and partly on the old coastal slope itself. The path is very hilly in some places, so it requires that you are not mobility impaired. It also requires good footwear, as it can be muddy and wet at times along the route.

The path on the coastal slope is fairy-tale like and there are many beautiful viewpoints at the top of the hills. The hilly landscape and the transition between forest and dune, along with lakes and streams, make the route very exciting and varied. In the winter season, you have to go around Vintersøen, while in the summer you can walk over the dried-out dune basins.
