This route passes by the small lake Barfods Dam and across the meadow. Here you may be lucky to see some of the birds that live in the meadow, such as lapwings, mallards, greylags, or kingfishers. You may also encounter some meadow plants, such as butterbur and white marsh-cress. Along the route, you will pass through Vestre Enge and Fogense, which used to be a shallow area before the area was enclosed in the 1800s. The route also goes past Bogense Marina, which has been awarded Denmark's best marina several times.
