Handicap route Bunken Klit Plantation

Bunken Klitplantage is partly asphalted, making it easier to get around with a wheelchair and stroller – and a great place to learn how to ride a bike. During certain periods, there is extra motor traffic on the roads, but usually, they are quiet. Bunken Klitplantage is a light plantation with maritime pine trees of all ages.

The described route is not marked with pictograms, but since the forest roads have signs with names, it is easy to follow this route description.

The route starts at the parking lot by the forest road "Militærvej," which is located on the north side of Råbjergvej, approximately across from no. 73. If you arrive by train, you can get off at the Bunken stop and walk 200 meters west. At the parking lot, there is also a picnic area with tables and benches.

Follow "Militærvej" north and turn left onto "Milevej." Follow the road as it turns right into "Starholmvej," and be aware that "Starholmvej" is part of the national cycling route 1 (West Coast Route), so there may be quite a few cyclists, especially in the summer. At one point, there is a turnoff to "Tudsehav." Follow the gravel path 50 meters to the lake and the tables and benches, where you can take a break with a really nice view. Go back along the path and continue a little further before turning right onto "Militærvej," which you follow back to the starting point.
