The citizens' path between Gandrup and Øster Hassing has been realized through both willing labor, expertise, and financial support from, among others, local associations and citizens. The Gandrup and surrounding area Citizens' Association initiated the project. A tunnel has also been established under the Bypass Road. Tables/benches have been set up and there is a primitive campsite with shelters by the Teglværk Lakes.
